Si Kabayan is a legendary figure in the community of West Java. Someone who is described as a human being humorous, funny, fun, ignorant, and some quirky habits that often, which can make laugh out loud, even if only to hear the story, or vice versa, you feel annoyed over his behavior. However, basically, Si Kabayan is the person whose a kind and not arrogant.

Si Kabayan Catch Fish For Guests

Early morning Si Kabayan and his father-in-law was standing on the river side. Soon the villagers arrive, they will dam the river to catch fish that will be served at important visitors coming from the city. The food is mostly preferred by the guest, village officials said, is to fish the river.
Because on that day the guests will be served Tawes fried fish, steamed Nila fish and Kancra grilled fish who served with ginger and soy sauce. And rice cooked from newly harvested rice, white rice fluffier. Guests will certainly enjoy this meal.
Folk village dam the river was very excited. Even Si Kabayan is also eager to lift the rock and banana trees to change the flow of river water. As the sun began to rise in the morning, the river water has started to recede, fish and plenty already starting to look each other squirm.

When the old man was not looking, Si Kabayan catch Nila fish bigger than earlier. Not much to say, he's entering Nila fish into the container he was carrying. He then walked to the riverside and says to his father-in-law, he wants to light a fire to cook grilled catfish. He wants to eat.
Nila fish in a container he grilled over the fire, then he opened the rice he had brought from home. After the grilled Nila fish cooked, he ate along with the rice. When Nila has been depleted by half, Si Kabayan then shouted to his father-in-law, Abah.
"Abah, Abah, come here! My stomach aches, my stomach ached. And my vision became blurred ".
Abah was very surprised to see Si Kabayan is in pain, while massaging his stomach.

The villagers saw the grilled Nila remaining half.
"So maybe these fish are poisonous. Perhaps in the upstream there are removing toxins. "Said the surrounding villages.
Si Kabayan convulsions, then he turned his back to the villagers who surrounded him as he covered his face with his hands. Then he put his finger in his throat. All people do not see it. Then he vomited while holding his stomach.

All the fish in a container, then returned back to the river. Then all the people of the village went to the upstream river. Si Kabayan still in the side river accompanied by his father-in-law.
When people walk away from Si Kabayan is far enough, then Si Kabayan stood up and ran into the middle of the river where the water was receding. The dam has not been opened, the fish still wriggling.
"Come Abah, catch the fish, Abah! Before the villagers back ".

Si Kabayan is a person who easily asleep. And he like sleep in a long time. If he had sat, for sure she slept soundly.
One day, Si Kabayan need haircut. the Barber, who was under a tree alongside a road. The barber is pleased to tell stories like a puppeteer. He aspires to become a puppeteer but not accomplished. Instead become a barber. The barber is popular because while cutting the hair, he liked to talk stories like a puppeteer.
From the start Si Kabayan sitting in a chair barbershop, he was getting sleepy. As usual barber holding scissors and comb to cut hair, he began to talk story like a puppeteer. He said, "There is a story of the Alengka Kingdom, King named Dasamuka. Dasa means ten. Muka means the face. "
Si Kabayan who sleepy was disturbed to hear his stories, yawning Si Kabayan said. "Cut short Mang".
The barber then cutting the hair on Si Kabayan while continuing telling stories, "After that.. Raja Dasamuka love Dewi Sinta, the wife of Sri Rama.." "A Short Cut Mang.." Then Si Kabayan asleep again. The barber then continues cutting Si Kabayan's hair while continuing his story. Each time Si Kabayan awakened, Barber continued tells the story of Sri Rama. But his hair cut Si Kabayan still ongoing. Si Kabayan feel very upset disturbed by the sound of a barber who told stories, sometimes imitating sounds like Rahwana growling or screaming imitate sounds of Dewi Sinta when abducted by Rahwana. Finally Si Kabayan angry with the barber and said "I told you to cut short... cut short!"
The barber replied "How to cut short if its already bald like this.."
Si Kabayan shocked, then look into the mirror, he saw his hair was no trace, bald. Therefore Si Kabayan increasingly angry to the barber, "cut short the tale you tell me, not my hair.."
The barber answered with a snarl, "there is your fault, why fall asleep like that, instead of grateful I tell a story..".
Si Kabayan then bawling was so upset and sorry he was. On the road, he made jokes materials by the village children while calling ".. Penjol.. Penjol..".
